Imperial Ballet

The roots of Imperial Classical Ballet stem from the early days of the ISTD and the first written syllabus in 1913 which was based on the teaching of the French School from the Paris Opéra. The syllabus has now evolved to promote the English classical style and address the changing needs of Ballet dancers today.

Our ballet classes go hand in hand with Modern Theatre Dance classes which are complimentary forms of dance. Students learn precision, timing, and fluiditiy of movement among many other aspects of dance required to build a strong versatile young dancer. Students of ballet will also be offered opportunities for examinations as with the Modern Theatre syllabus.

Elevation holds a 100% pass rate in examinations.
